Cleveland Launcher XL Driver & Halo Woods

While Cleveland may be best known for its short game clubs, the new Launcher XL driver is changing all that.
It is by far the best driver Cleveland has ever made, placing the company solidly in the ranks of top driver manufacturers.
That’s because this exceptional new driver delivers greater length, more forgiveness, and faster ball speeds—with a fully adjustable hosel and a design that’s very pleasing to the eye.
You’ll get the ball airborne effortlessly and watch it fly endlessly. (Or so it feels!)
Let’s take a closer look at this remarkable new driver that’s launching Cleveland into the tee shot stratosphere.
A Bigger Clubhead
One big key to the Launcher XL driver’s high performance is the massive clubhead design of 460 cc that includes the widest sweet spot Cleveland has ever produced.
The bigger head provides the greatest MOI ever in a Cleveland driver.
Add this increased forgiveness to a high launch from low-and-deep weighting, and you’ve got the ideal combo for maximum launch and distance.

Rebound Frame Technology
The Cleveland Launcher XL driver also features Rebound Technology, borrowed from the outstanding Srixon ZX series.
Rebound Technology includes two flex points within the clubhead—the first on the face, and the second slightly deeper into the head.
These alternating zones of flexibility and rigidity serve to direct more energy into the golf ball for increased ball speed and distance on every drive.
Counterbalanced Feel
Cleveland has also incorporated a counterbalanced feel into the Launcher XL driver with the inclusion of an 8g weight in the butt end of the grip. This helps to promote an effortless swing for faster swing speeds and more distance.

Fully-Adjustable Hosel
Add a fully-adjustable hosel and you’ve got the ability to customize for forgiveness, control and distance – exactly what every golfer wants off the tee.
For further customization, Cleveland offers the Launcher XL in an ‘accuracy build’ configuration, where they take an extra inch off the shaft, if you’d like.
Performance & Feel
When you test swing the new Cleveland Launcher XL driver in our state-of-the-art indoor fitting bays, you’ll be struck by the increased ball speed you get without swinging any harder than usual.
You can see the results right on our TrackMan 4 and GCQuad fitting simulators.
You’ll also notice the driver head’s loud impact—but the sharp noise won’t bother you when you see how far the ball is flying!
Your center strikes will feel incredibly solid and muted in your hands, and produce a powerful, instant feedback that says, “Man, I ripped that one!”
You’ll also love the looks of this new Cleveland driver. The minimalistic chrome scheme aligns beautifully with the club’s superior quality.
There is no doubt that the new Launcher XL driver will launch Cleveland into a whole new level in the driver category. So climb on board and join the ride at a terrific price!

Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Woods
The new Cleveland Launcher XL Halo fairway woods are as equally impressive as the driver for similar reasons.
You know how nerve wracking it can be to hit a fairway wood, right?
It’s one of the most intimidating shots in golf. What if you duff it?
Well, the new Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Woods have been designed to make hitting your fairway woods a lot easier.
That’s largely because the new Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Woods have a bigger head, which means more MOI—and more MOI means more forgiveness.
And more forgiveness means better results. And better results mean greater confidence and lower scores.
Designed to Deliver
There are other design elements to help you as well, including Cleveland’s GlideRail, which makes high-quality contact really easy, even from the rough…
…a Rebound Frame, Cleveland/Srixon’s signature ball speed technology that creates more ball speed…
…and a counterbalancing weight that makes the clubhead feel lighter and easier to control.
If this all sounds good (and we think it sounds great), we encourage you to take
a closer look at these outstanding game improvement 3-woods and 5-woods—and learn how they can help your game.

The Halo Effect
The ‘Halo’ in the new Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Woods stands for High Angle Lift Off.
It’s powered by those Cleveland Gliderails we mentioned earlier—twin rails on the sole to help make it more duff proof as well as glide through the rough.
“The design intention is to resist those fat or chunked shots,” says Dustin Brekke, chief of Cleveland Engineering.
The Gliderails provide an initial bounce and then a release of the sole. This buys the clubhead a little more time at full speed to impact the ball.

Go Big or Go Home
The new Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Woods also have some of the largest fairway wood heads out there.
By being longer heel to toe, with a deep face and more volume, these bigger heads can help you hit better fairway wood shots.
The bigger clubhead is “very large, very forgiving and very confidence-inspiring,” says Brekke. “You can look at it and know you’re going to find a hot spot on that face.”
Extreme Perimeter Weighting
The large head of the Cleveland Launcher XL Halo Woods also allows for extreme perimeter weighting, which is huge for MOI.
Cleveland reports that the MOI for the new Launcher XL Halo is an 11% increase over the previous generation. This helps reduce the clubhead twisting at impact and leading to errant shots.

The Rebound Frame
The Launcher XL Halo Fairways include Cleveland’s Rebound Frame, which combines flexible and rigid regions to create the equivalent of a ball speed super trampoline.
With the Rebound Frame, a flexible variable thickness face is supported by a rigid frame. That rigid frame backs into a more flexible area just behind the face—which is then supported by the rigid remainder of the face.
This creates a springboard effect for greater distance.
Counterbalanced Weighting
Another element is Cleveland’s Action Mass CB (for Counter Balance). In simple terms, it’s counterbalancing by way of an eight-gram weight in the butt of the shaft.
This helps make the head feel a bit lighter and controllable, and can help reduce casting in the downswing.
The Launcher XL Halo Woods also feature Cleveland’s HiBore step crown. The step pushes the crown down, which in turn pushes CG down to promote the High Angle Lift Off.
